Are you an artist who writes? Do you enjoy writing and thinking about art as much as you enjoy the process of making it? Passing Notes is seeking art-related writing for our upcoming issue. We are accepting submissions in the form of:
• Peer reviews- Reflections on the work of underrepresented, contemporary artists
• Contemporary and historical reviews- Responses to contemporary or historical artists / works
• Creative response- Share your musings, your fleeting thoughts, your daydreams
• Visual Responses - Images, photos, etc.
• Poetry
• Interviews
• Experimental text

Is there an application fee?
No!
In our efforts to keep this publication accessible, we do not ask our applicants to pay a fee to submit their work.
What format should I submit work?
Accepted file formats: PDF for written submissions
JPGs for images

How many times can I apply?
Each applicant can have up to three submissions. Please fill out a new form for each submission.
When will I know if my piece was accepted?
We aim to respond to all applicants by June 2024. Keep an eye on your email.
